Nice quote about us in Haaretz, thanks midnight peacocks!

In an article about how myspace helps musicians promote themselves published in Haaretz, there was a nice quote about ILCU, by Midnight Peacocks member Eitan Raduchinsky (hope I'm spelling it right):

...and in English (my translation): "Raduchinsky mentions nightlife website ilcu.com, which allows users to post parties and other events, and decide where to go according to which "friends" RSVPed their participation. "We posted a show there, 60 people RSVPed, out of which 30 actually came. These days you don't need to get your hands dirty with glue while hanging posters, or print flyers - an e-flyer is just as good", he says.

Well, that was certainly heartwarming to read. These numbers might seem low, but speaking as a former band member, I wish we had something like ILCU back in the day. Thanks, Peacocks!

ILCU Messenger is here! w00t!

We've launched the ILCU messenger thingie today, which we hope you'll learn to like.
What it does basically is show you who of your friends are online, and allows you to invite them to chat. Not much fireworks, we'll add some bloat^H^H^H^H^features soon, like sounds, photo swapping, etc. ;)

You can find the messenger in the top right corner of each page when you're logged in. you can expand the messenger tab and see who's online, and, sruprise surprise, chat with them. You don't need flash, java, or anything installed other than your browser. it will work on IE 6 (and probably 5.5 but we haven't tested. it DOES NOT work on IE5 and lower), firefox 1.x, konqueror and opera, and should work on safari as well, since it's based on konqueror's engine.

Enjoy!

New people search interface

Hey,
I've uploaded the new people search inteface, though it's not complete. Much better than the old on, if you ask me. Options include filtering people by your own country, filtering people with images only, etc.

More stuff to come soon!

Cheers,
Dvir
