New Albums feature

We've just launched a new albums feature, of which i'm pretty proud personally. it includes:
  • Personal user albums
  • Improved event albums
  • Tagging
  • Photo rating
  • Comments
  • Photo search
  • Mass image upload with a java/activex applet
  • and more..

For the first few weeks we're not limiting quota, so feel free to upload images and play with, and of course report bugs or request extra features.
Your personal album is accessible from your personal page or your profile editor. Also, any registered user can upload to any event album.
The image search is accessible here:

Tons of events in the US!

We've been waiting for this little announcement for so long: Today we put around 50 thousand upcoming events of all types all over the US (no movies though).

This presents a challenge in filtering the events that are relevant for the users, and we're working on some imporvements in this sense (radius search, zipcode search, etc), some of which will go live pretty soon I hope. Anyway, since most of us are not in the US, we'd love some feedback on the events, and see what types of events or regions need improvement.

If you're not from the US and want to see the events, click the "change location" link when you're signed in and switch to some metro in the US.

Also, the hebrew version in association with Time Out Tel-Aviv is about to be launched in the coming days, with hundreds of upcoming events in Israel as well. So Israelis, stay tuned for thath too.

(slightly) new look for ILCU

Hey
Yet another boring update! Yay! We've created a new header for ILCU, changed the way the IM window works a bit. This is mainly to create a nice infrastructure for co-branding partnerships, some of which we are about to launch in the coming weeks. plus it looks cool to me and takes a little less space.

We're also hard at work on i18n stuff: the site you are looking at as of today is 95% multilingual-ready, and we're now translating it. The first two languages will be Hebrew (tricky RTL stuff yo!) and Spanish. Check for the translation in a couple of weeks.

Ciao

w00t! a nice review of ILCU on mashable.com

mashable.com, a blog covering social sites, gave us a very nice review:
"It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into ILCU - it’s intuitive, fun to use and effortlessly simple."

New addition to ILCU team ;) MazalTov Tracy and Iddo!

Iddo and Tracy, our CEO and content manager, who also happen to be married, had their first child tonight, a baby boy weighing 4kg. More details plus pics of baby-ILCU to follow, plus some other funky news about the company. But hey, who cares about the company right now :-)

w00t! and a big hug from us all!
